When I'm not at school, dancing, or volunteering in my community,
I enjoy other activities, including traveling and learning the Italian language.

Art

First, I have taken a variety of rigorous art classes throughout highschool. I am a proud member of the National Art Honor Society and was also selected to be an Officer of the society. I have had several pieces of artwork nominated to be placed in competitions. I have participated in an organization called The Memory Project, through which I create a portrait of a selected child to promote cultural understanding and kindness in our world today. Memory Project

This charitable nonprofit organization helps cultivate global kindness by creating portraits for children who have faced serious hardships, such as violence, war, extreme poverty, neglect, and loss of parents. I was invited to create a portrait to help children feel valued by giving them meaningful pieces of their personal history. Below is a video from 2023 of the children receiving their portraits in India.

My artwork was entered into the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1038 (Valhalla) contest, and placed first. The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. It reminds Americans of the sacrifices made by our veterans while protecting our freedoms.

Travel

I enjoy traveling with my family. Since my family is from Ireland, we travel there once a year to visit relatives and friends. Also, being a competitive Irish dancer has given me the opportunity to compete in Ireland, United Kingdom, Scotland, Canada, and more than 60 cities in the United States.
